Many of the missing children cases we are called to assist with involve either special needs or some form of social media or online gaming luring away or grooming. Detectives arrest a 44-year-old male, who posed as a 16-year-old on social media, to lure a 13-year-old female to run away from her residence in Alabama to come to Valdosta with him. It’s with great Sadness that we Announce That K-9 Saber was Found in her kennel Yesterday Afternoon unresponsive 11/06/2025 around 6pm just a few hours before she was fine and acting normal. K-9 Saber was rescued at about 2 years old and 6 months later Passed her Tracking Certification with North America Police Work Dog Association Making her Nationally Recognized as a Working Certified K-9. K-9 Saber was an amazing addition to our Search and Rescue Program. She was well mannered Lady….. K-9 Saber was called to serve many times and loved her job. Thank you for your Service k-9 Saber you will be Missed.😢😔😢

So what I have learned thus far with SAR groups and the searches I have been on.... 🚨😂 BREAKING NEWS: Apparently some Search & Rescue teams think we’re competing in the “Best of the Best Olympics.” Gold medal for spotting a random footprint. Silver for yelling “I saw them first!” the loudest. Bronze for bringing snacks the rest of us end up stealing. And THEN you’ve got the folks who act like their dog is basically the four-legged Beyoncé of SAR. “MY dog would’ve found them faster.” “MY dog never makes mistakes.” “MY dog tracks better than YOUR dog and knows the emotions of the person who went missing.” Okay Super Woman, relax. We get it. 🤣🐕 And don’t even get me started on the “I’m a better diver than you even though I don’t actually have the right equipment” crowd. Like—sir. Please. You rolled up with dollar-store goggles and a dream. Let’s not do this. 🤣🤿 But wait—there’s more! The folks who have no idea what the chain of command even is. They’re out here taking charge like they’re the Sheriff, the Incident Commander, and the President all at once. “WHO PUT YOU IN CHARGE?” “Oh… you did. In your own mind.” 😅 Meanwhile the rest of us are just trying to work together and actually, you know… FIND THE MISSING PERSON. Honestly? The bullying and ego battles have sucked a lot of the joy out of this for me. SAR shouldn’t feel like an episode of Real Housewives of Search & Rescue. But here we are — drama, side-eyes, and dog bragging included. 🫣 Oh and I almost forgot.... Apparently Search & Rescue isn’t about searching or rescuing anymore… it’s about becoming YouTube and Tik Tok Famous. If you didn’t capture the entire mission on 14 body cams, 3 drones, 2 helmet cams, a dash cam, a doorbell cam, and that one guy’s GoPro duct-taped to his emotional-support tactical helmet…did the search even happen. Don't forget to like, share and subscribe!🤳😂 At the end of the day, we’re all supposed to have the same mission: FIND the person. BRING them home. SUPPORT each other. BRING CLOSURE to the family. NOT compete, NOT bully, and definitely NOT argue over whose dog has the better résumé and most certifications. Let’s get back to what really matters. FIND THE MISSING PERSON! Before someone starts giving out “Best in Show: SAR Edition” ribbons. 🏆🐶😂 This whole post is from several searches I have been on NOT a certain one in particular. We ALL need to DO better!!!!!
